This lecture session was a very inspirational experience. The lecture consisted of Randolph-Macon alumni who are leaders today in their jobs and were once leaders at Randolph-Macon College. This experience was an eye-opener for me because it reassured me that a liberal arts college education is a great foundation for successful careers, such as the careers of the alumni. Also, the alumni were helpful in answering questions because they have already gone through the process of figuring out their job possibilities and now have dignified, stable careers. As a student, I have questioned, what is next after college and what I decided to do is review my short term goals and determine my long term goals. I have a sense of what I want my long term goals to be now, after viewing the paths of these alumni who share the same passions as me. Overall, this lecture was exactly what I needed to experience and it has motivated me to work harder.
